When you hear about the latest game and want to play it on your PC, then definitely following questions will emerge in your mind-

Can I run it?

Can my PC run it?

Does my PC have all the configurations required to run this game?

What are the minimum requirements to run this game?

To know whether you can run a PC game or not, you need to know the minimum system requirements and your system’s specifications.

How to Check Your System’s Specifications: Platform, GPU, CPU, RAM

To know your system details, follow these steps-

Step 1: right-click on the “Computer” or “My Computer” or “This PC” icon on your system.

Step 2: Click on properties.

Now you will be able to see your system’s platform, CPU, and RAM as shown in the image below-

Now, you need to check the GPU installed on your PC. Both Windows 10 and Windows 7 users have different methods to know their GPU details. Follow these steps-

Step 1: Open the task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+delete at once.

Step 2: Now a new window will pop-up, click on the performance tab.

Step 3: Here you will see “GPU” written on the left side of this window, click on it.

Now you will be able to see the name of your GPU card installed on your system.

Step 1: Click the Windows+R button at once.

Step 2: Type dxdiag in the search option.

Step 3: Now click on “Ok” OR just click enter.

Step 4: Now you will see a new window open on your PC.

Step 5: Go to the “Display” tab.

Here you will be able to see graphic card details on your Windows 7 PC-

At this point, you have your system’s configurations and now you need to know the required system configurations to run your favorite game.

There are some websites that can show the system configurations required to run a game. And tell whether you can run a game on your PC or not. I am going to list the names of those websites-

 

Websites To Perform “Can I Run It”, “Can My PC Run It” and “Can You Run It” Tests:

1. Technical city

This is my favorite website to know whether my PC can run a game or not. The Website has a very simple interface and an easy process to perform the “Can My PC Run It” test.

On this website, you will see an option to search for your desired game and a green button written “Proceed” on it.

Using this search bar you can search any game you want to run the test. For example, I wanted to know if could I run The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on my PC. Here are the steps to follow-

Step 1: Enter the name of the game in the bar and click on it.

Step 2: Click on Proceed.

Step 3: It will automatically detect your system configurations.

 

It will show you the minimum and recommended requirements and a comparison of your PC specs against these requirements. So, you can have a clear idea of the test.

After seeing the comparison table anyone can easily decide if the game would run or not.

2. Systemrequirementslab:

Systemrequirementlabs is a free-to-use website. It analyzes your computer very quickly and shows if you can run a PC game or not.

Here are the steps to perform the “can I run it” test on this website-

Step 1: Search for a game in the search bar available on the website.

Step 2: If you find the name of that game click on it.

Step 3: Click on “Can You Run It”

I searched for GTA 5 Thor Mod so, it showed me the minimum system requirements for the game-

It will also tell GTA 5 Thor Mod recommended system requirements-

If you still have doubts then follow the next step-

Step 4: Click the “Can I Run It” button on the website.

After this, it will automatically download an application on your PC and ask you to install and run it.

3. Pcbenchmark:

This is another website to perform the “can I run it?” test. It functions similarly as SystemRequirementLabs. Follow these steps to know whether you can run a game on your PC or not-

Step 1: Enter the name of your game in the search bar.

In my case, I wanted to know if I could run Valorant on My PC. So, I searched for this game. And it showed me the following results.

Now, if you know your system specifications then you can find out whether you can run it, follow these steps-

Here on this website, you will see a button showing “Can I Run It Enter Your System Details”.

Click on this button and a new page will open, here you will see some options where you can fill in your PC details.

After filling in your PC details, click on the “Can I Run It” button. After this, it will show you the minimum and recommended requirements to run a Valorant PC game on your computer. Also, it will show if your PC meets minimum requirements or not.

The website also provides an application. Which you can download and run on your system to easily perform the “can you run it” test on your PC.

4. 7DFPS:

It is another website to check whether your PC is able to run a game or not. The functioning of this website is the same as the sites mentioned earlier in this blog.

At the start of the homepage, you will see a form where you can fill in your system specifications and it will list the games that you can run on your PC.

Also, you can search for specific games and check what are the system requirements for the particular game.

For example, I wanted to know if Can I run Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies. So I searched for the game in the search bar available on the website.

It showed me the minimum and recommended system requirements-

Also, it gave me options to fill in my system details. After this, it ran a test and gave me the following results.

Using this website I can check whether my PC is able to run a game or not.
